approx. 50cm x 100cm, 22.5ct gold leaf and egg tempera on 5-ply birch This icon was written for the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist, Hong Kong. I had problems locating a prototype for this icon, so asked for help from Sister Esther of Turvey Abbey at Bedford. I then spent a week in those tranquil surroundings to start the icon.
