It is very tempting to work out everything before I start a piece of work, sometimes that work out fine, but the fun is over as soon as the design is done, and execution was just routine and brings only mild satisfaction. On more complicated designs, trying to work through all of the details before hand is quite impossible, so I take things as it go, working out line, colour, where the gold should go...all are unplanned, hence every step is a challenge. OK, sometimes I ruin a piece when things go wrong, but I don't mind, I just start over. That way when I reach the end, I am all set to undertake another adventure. Life is full of surprises. I like. |
